Why I do what I do.

The built world has always fascinated me: designing, creating, and constructing things is my life, whether it's a building, furniture, a light fixture, or dinner.  

Although I grew up in a tiny town on the great plains where there is an unbroken horizon and simple tranquility, I love urban spaces.  After getting my Masters of Architecture from The University of Kansas and spending the first 24 years of my life in that wonderful flyover state, I migrated north to Chicago to start my career and stayed for nine years.

I recently moved east to NYC in an effort expand my horizons a bit more and gain a new perspective on design and the built environment.
